A Quincy Institute reporter writes that in 2023, the US Congress passed about 30 bills, but “introduced 616 pieces of legislation that contain a variation of the word ‘China’, more than 3.5 for every day that Congress was in session on average”. This raises the question: Who & what is the Congress working for at the taxpayers’ expense? What’s more, do they really believe they can solve their domestic problems by irrational targeting of China? Why not save time&money and stay focused on doing their own things right?
