Whose fault if your kids have abandoned their Chinese roots? It is the parent’s faults! 如果你的孩子拋棄了中國根，棄祖忘宗, 是誰的錯? 是父母的錯!

I am at the Lexus dealership in Oakland. The service advisor is an ABC, both his parents and wife’s parents from Toisan. Wife parents renovated a 3 story building in Toisan. He told me unfortunately none of their kids and grandkids including himself are interested to visit Toisan. Their parents failed to discuss or educate their Chinese roots when young. Today they don’t feel the need to maintain their ties with their relatives in China. This sad story could be repeated millions times in US! 我在奧克蘭的雷克薩斯經銷車行, 服務顧問是在美國出生的華人，他的父母和岳父母都是在台山出生後來移居美國。 妻子的父母在台山翻新了一棟三層樓的建築。 他告訴我，不幸的是，他們的孩子和孫子，包括他自己，都沒有興趣去台山。他們的父母在年輕時沒有討論或教育他們的中國根源。如今，他們覺得沒有必要與中國的親戚保持聯繫。這個悲傷的故事在美國可能會重複數百萬次。
