Ian Scott Alford from Fort Worth Texas: “Having spent a few months in China, I can’t understand this mindset. I see so much building, people going in to work actually happy, hell the traffic cops don’t even carry guns. The absolute worst I’ve seen is them yell at one guy for not wearing a helmet on a bike, and another for not wearing a seatbelt. Not even a damn ticket. But I’ve had people here tell me how many Chinese (especially the rich) want to come to America. I imagine my experiences are skewed, being an American that doesn’t (yet) speak Chinese. But still, I don’t get it.”
