One Shooting Every 5 Years Compared to One Shooting Every 7 Hours..? A Shocking Comparison of China vs. U.S. by MARIO CAVOLO, APR 8 2024

A good friend and respected voice on China, Jerry Grey, is a former police officer and in a recent article, he just made a China comparison that blew my mind, had to share it…

“Let me give you some real facts about this: in China, the police on average kill one person every 5 years…in the USA, the police on average kill a person every 7 hours.”

That’s quite the societal contrast. A reader then asked me what I thought were the reasons this was the case and here was the answer I gave them.

First, there are no guns in Chinese society, not even the police are armed.

Second, there are no drugs, which would mean therefore, there are no criminal gangs which is where most criminal activity revolves around leading to police shootings in societies where both citizens and police have guns. This is beyond obvious.

Third, China’s society is relative to the United States, not a divided society. In fact a recent Ipsos survey pointed out that social coheions or what I would rather call social harmony in China is around 90%. This is far less divided and far less violent society, a stable harmonious well behaved society that is deeply rooted in Confucian principles to avoid conflict.

This would lead most any observer to understand why there is far less crime especially violent crime here in China. Most foreigners can’t wrap their heads around the degree to which this is the case and the endless entirely false propaganda rhetoric by the U.S. govt and mainstream media to make people believe China is an aggressive, threatening nation doesn’t help.
