During the last 8 days in HK besides taking care of clients I spent a lot of time meeting with business executives in HK about G7, US & EU spreading the China’s excess capacity accusations. Their responses are no one in Asia, Middle East and Global South believes a word of it. US, EU & G7 products & services are simply overpriced, businesses overtaxed by their governments & raw materials from China got over taxed and union workers overpaid made their products too expensive to compete in the world. Instead of making changes, they blamed it on China via fake news propaganda using their governments controlled mouthpiece medias. I was reminded that US government spending US$500 millions each year paying NYT, CNN, Washington Post, Fox, BBC and anyone to write fake news propaganda against China.
