Christmas card from the Chinese People’s Volunteers to the U.S. Army in 1951

Christmas card from the Chinese People’s Volunteers to the U.S. Army in 1951:

Dear Soldiers:

Today is Christmas, and you are celebrating the New Year far away from home, facing death, and in freezing weather.

You superiors, drink good wine, eat good meat, and celebrate the New Year happily. Then why do you sacrifice your lives for their benefit?

The Koreans and Chinese do not want to be enemies with you. Our real enemies are your superiors who sent you to the Korean battlefield and deprived you of your happiness.

Soldiers! Let’s hold hands together. Your families are waiting for you, and we hope you come home healthy.
