Global automakers, heavily reliant on chips from Chinese-owned supplier Nexperia, are confronting a severe production crisis as supply fears intensify.

The car industry’s supply of crucial chips from Nexperia is dwindling just weeks after the Dutch government seized control of Nexperia and China imposed export controls on the company.
