Chinese has another “trump card” China has played, aside from rare earths. “Want to buy rare earths? Thinking of visiting the Chinese space station? Learn Chinese first.” These simple fifteen Chinese characters have left countless foreigners stunned. 中文竟成了除稀土之外，中國打出來的另一個“王炸” “想買稀土，想到中國空間站, 先學中文”：就這簡簡單單十五個漢字，讓多少老外頓時傻眼.

According to China’s latest regulations, when foreign users apply for export permits for dual-use items such as rare earths, all documentation must be submitted in Chinese, and the country’s export approval system will only provide a simplified Chinese interface.

This regulation has single-handedly changed the long-standing convention of using English as the default standard in global trade. From now on, Chinese will have a place in international trade, and its share will only grow.

Currently, this is being piloted starting with rare earth export declarations, but it will undoubtedly be gradually expanded. Ultimately, anyone importing goods from China will have to submit all materials in Chinese.

A few years ago, when China’s space station adopted Chinese as its sole language, many countries spoke out, criticizing China for not conforming to “international norms.” However, we paid no heed. Since we have the capability to build, operate, and manage the space station on our own without relying on other countries, we naturally have the right to use Chinese.

Now, with the introduction of this new regulation, the world has fallen unusually silent. There has been none of the usual sarcastic “protests,” because they know that any objections would be futile. If they want to import rare earths from China, they must comply with China’s requirements—no rebuttals accepted.

On the surface, this is a step in China’s transition from “controlling rare earth resources” to “setting the rules for rare earth trade.” In reality, it is a significant opportunity for China to enhance its voice in international trade, seize the power to shape rules, and promote Chinese worldwide.

Language has unexpectedly become a sharp weapon to challenge world hegemony. Hats off to my motherland!

按照我國最新規定，外國用戶申請稀土等兩用物項出口許可時，所有文件材料必須使用中文版本，並且我國的出口審批系統也只提供簡體中文界面。

此規定一出，一舉改變了過去全球貿易中默認使用英語作為標準模板的慣例，從今往後，中文將在國際貿易中佔有一席之地，而且所佔比例將會越來越大。

目前只是從稀土出口申報開始進行試點，以後肯定會逐步推開，最後就是只要從中國進口商品，就必須使用中文提交所有材料。

前幾年中國空間站全部使用中文，當時還有很多國家站出來說東道西，指責中國這樣做不符合“國際慣例”。但是我們沒有理睬。因為我們有能力自己建設、使用和管理空間站，不用去求其他國家，我們當然有權力使用中文。

現在這個規定一出，全世界卻異常安靜，沒有聽到以往的那種陰陽怪氣的“抗議”聲，因為他們知道說什麼都沒用。只要想從中國進口稀土，就必須按中國的要求來，中國不接受任何反駁。

表面上看這是中國從“控制稀土資源”向“制定稀土貿易規則”轉變的一步，實際上這是中國提升在國際貿易中的話語權，掌握規則制定權，將中文推向全世界的一次重大機遇。
