American from California live in China for 15 years report from China video: The Real China Nobody’s Talking About 《真實的中國:無人提及的側面》 – 一位在中國居住十五年的加州美籍人士實錄
What’s it really like to live in China as an American during one of the most tense periods in U.S.–China relations?
In this video, I share the truth that almost nobody in Western media is willing to talk about. No dramatics. No political spin. Just my real experience of daily life, face-to-face interactions, and how people in China actually treat me on the streets, in my community, and even inside the government offices that handle my visa visa link 👉 https://www.snavs-china.com
When I first arrived, I expected suspicion or coldness. After all, relations between our countries are complicated and the headlines make it look like regular people must be caught in the middle. But what I discovered was the exact opposite: dignity, respect, hospitality, and a sense of calm and safety I haven’t felt in my own country for years. From simple encounters with strangers… to the way police talk to me… to how immigration officers handle my visa… I uncovered a side of China that completely contradicts the image many Americans have been fed. And honestly? It made me question where “home” really is. While the U.S. feels increasingly chaotic — crime, homelessness, protests, mass shootings, social division — life in China feels stable, safe, peaceful, and grounded. That contrast is something I never expected to feel so sharply. Yet here I am, raising a family in a place that treats me better than the country I was born in.
