Facebook vs. TikTok…This Ain’t Pretty, Folks Facebook vs. TikTok …… 朋友們, 這並不漂亮 by MARIO CAVOLO MAR 29 2023

Here is a list of truly egregious violations against America and even Europe, committed by TikTok…It took me over six months of intense, stressful research digging in areas that were secret, protected by the govt and classified to find this ongoing nightmare which myself and my team have uncovered. I’m worthy of a Pulitzer in journalism for what it is about to be revealed to you and more than anything I want to thank my private investigative team of over two dozen located in over a dozen countries, who at times seemed to be risking their lives to uncover the egregious violations that people in power were attempting to hide all along. No wonder Congress is pissed at TikTok. They really should be.

    Let’s begin.

This company which truly changed the world of social media has not just violated laws, it has REPEATEDLY violated laws. It has REPEATEDLY BEEN FINED $100s of million of $$$.

Fined over $100 million by the European Commission in 2014

Fined again in 2022 by the EU commission, over $275 million this time for leaking over 530 million user’s data. “Ireland’s Data Protection Commission imposed two fines totaling 390 million euros ($414 million) in its decision in two cases that could shake up its business model of targeting users”

“The company….reported two straight quarters of declining revenue as advertising sales dropped because of competition from ———(other social media cos) , that’s “BECAUSE OF COMPETITION FROM “other social media cos”

In 2018, investigations confirmed the company gave data access to Chinese companies flagged by U.S. intelligence – who are all suspect of being national security threats… And get this, except for Huawei, those data sharing agreements are still happening today, with those three other top Chinese brand companies. Obviously, the egregious sharing of data with these Chinese companies is not tolerable.

…The company has allowed over a dozen people livestream horrific acts happening to them, this is far worse than “holding your breath” challenges which are also dangerous

…TikTok allowed terrorists to continue using their profile pages to organize terrorist acts attacking America and when the US govt State Department investigating the terrorist acts killing over 200 American citizens on American soil, then asked TikTok to cooperate with authorities, TikTok refused and that’s why they’re banned. Again, its really understandable Congress was so agressive grilling CEO Shou Chew during the hearing.

The company has also been caught sharing your personal data with over 150 companies and a really big Cambridge Analytica scandal…

I asked ChatGPT to list a record of their violations. Here is the complete formal list of six instances TikTok was investigated, caught and fined including as recently as 2023

OOPS…my sarcastic fun has come to an end. TikTok has done NONE OF THE ABOVE THINGS. Facebook did.

From 2005 to 2023, Facebook has faced a number of fines and bans for privacy and data violations. Here are the details of some of the major incidents:

In 2011, Facebook was fined $20 million by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for deceiving users about the privacy of their personal information. The FTC found that Facebook had made false promises to its users about the level of privacy and control they had over their information. Facebook was also accused of sharing user data with third-party advertisers without proper consent. As part of the settlement with the FTC, Facebook was required to improve its privacy practices and undergo regular audits to ensure compliance.

In 2012, Facebook was found to be in violation of European Union data protection laws. The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) conducted an investigation into Facebook’s privacy practices and found that the company had failed to provide users with adequate control over their personal data. The DPC also found that Facebook had retained user data beyond the period for which it was needed. Facebook was given a deadline to comply with the EU data protection regulations and was required to submit to regular audits.

In 2018, Facebook was fined $5 billion by the FTC for failing to protect user data and for allowing Cambridge Analytica to access user data without their consent. The Cambridge Analytica scandal involved the unauthorized collection and use of data from millions of Facebook users, which was then used to influence the 2016 US presidential election. The FTC found that Facebook had failed to adequately protect user data and had misled users about the extent to which their data was being shared with third parties. As part of the settlement, Facebook was required to implement new privacy and data protection measures and submit to regular independent audits.

In 2009, Facebook was banned in China for allowing terrorist groups to have profile pages on its platform. Chinese authorities accused Facebook of allowing content related to terrorist activities in the country to be posted on its platform, which they argued posed a threat to national security. As a result, the Chinese government blocked access to Facebook within the country, making it inaccessible to Chinese users. Facebook has since been unable to operate in China, where the government has strict control over online content and social media platforms. Despite several attempts to enter the Chinese market, Facebook remains banned in China to this day.
In 2019, Facebook was fined £500,000 by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office for its role in the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The fine was levied for two breaches of data protection laws related to the unauthorized sharing of user data with third-party developers and for failing to take adequate measures to protect user data. While the fine was the maximum amount allowable under UK law at the time, it was widely criticized as being too lenient given the scale of the data breach.

In 2020, Facebook was fined €7 million by the German Federal Cartel Office for collecting data on users without their consent. The fine was related to Facebook’s practice of requiring users to allow the company to collect data on them from other websites and services in order to use the platform. The German authorities found that this practice violated antitrust laws and unfairly exploited Facebook’s dominant market position. Facebook was required to change its data collection practices in order to comply with the ruling.

The problem with social media in the United States is the fault of no one except the lawmaking leaders of the United States. This shit, the poison you find there, harming society, harming families, harming children, does NOT exist in China because the Chinese government doesn’t allow it. They have sensible laws that protect the society, protect families and children from poisonous, unhealthy content. When your country anywhere on planet earth has a problem, blame your politicians, blame your government leaders. Its their job to do their job and the society and people suffer when they don’t.

  • Great threats to US is peace, not China

Military Industrial Complex controlled US Gov’t, peace in the world is absolutely unacceptable / Greatest Threat to the USA is Peace, not China 軍工集團控制美國政府,世界和平是絕對不能接受的/美國最大的威脅是和平,而不是中國 By Chua Chin Leng 24-March-2023

The greatest threat to the USA is not China, but Peace. Peace in the world would bring an end to the evil American Empire that is built around war and a war economy. When there is Peace in the world, the Americans would be lost. They would not know what to do, many employed just to agitate for wars would be jobless. The whole Military Industrial Complex would be out of business. All the American military bases in the world would be redundant, so would all the aircraft carriers, military aircraft, ICBMs, weapons of mass destruction and all the supporting war industries.

Employment would become the number one problem in the USA when the American war machine is crippled due to its irrelevance. All the CIA operators would be out of work. All the fake news about threats and enemies would become jokes.

The nearly US$1 trillion military budget would be totally extravagant without wars, without enemies.

When there is Peace in the world, the Americans would have to create jobs for themselves, to make themselves useful again as responsible people, not warmongers and murderers, not merchants of war. There will be no one to buy their expensive war machine, no more needs for military gangs aka allies.

The latest peace deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia brokered by China is being condemned by the Americans, calling it a threat to American interests. The Americans are all out to break this Peace deal. This is how evil the Americans are, all set to create war and against Peace. Peace is against the interests of the Americans, an evil Empire thriving on wars and instability and selling weapons to kill and destruct in wars.

China’s proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine and to start Peace negotiation is condemned by the Americans and the Americans also said there cannot be ceasefire.

The people of the world have woken up to the evilness of the Americans. Everyone wants Peace except the Americans. Only the blind and idiotic are still supporting the evil Americans in their warmongering and evil ways.

China issues report revealing landmark setback for US human rights in 2022; American people’s basic rights, freedoms undermined

China’s State Council Information Office on Tuesday issued the Report on Human Rights Violations in the US in 2022, revealing human rights legislation and justice have seen an extreme regression, further undermining the basic rights and freedoms of the American people.

2022 witnessed a landmark setback for US human rights, the report said.

In the US, a country which labels itself a “human rights defender,” chronic diseases such as money in politics, racial discrimination, gun and police violence, as well as wealth polarization are rampant, it added.

The US government has greatly relaxed gun control, resulting in high death toll from gun violence. The US Supreme Court’s decision in the Bruen case, a case challenging a New York law limiting concealed handgun carry in public, in 2022 became a landmark regression in the field of gun control in the United States. Nearly half of US states have relaxed gun restrictions, the report said.

The US leads the world in gun ownership, gun homicide and mass shootings, with more than 80,000 people killed or injured by gun violence in 2022, the third consecutive year on record that the United States experiences more than 600 mass shootings. Gun violence has become an “American disease.”

The report said that US is a country defined by extreme violence, where people are threatened by both violent crime and violent law enforcement, and their safety is far from being guaranteed. Prisons are overcrowded and have become a modern slavery establishment where forced labor and sexual exploitation are commonplace. America’s self-proclaimed civil rights and freedoms have become empty talk.

In a latest mass shooting case on Monday, a 28-year-old from Nashville fatally shot three children and three adults at a private Christian elementary school, which was another shock to the American society, the New York Times reported.

Also, the report pointed out that midterm elections have become the most expensive ones in the US, and American-style democracy has lost its popular support. The cost of elections in the US has soared again, with cumulative spending of the 2022 midterm elections exceeding more than $16.7 billion. Political donations from billionaires accounted for 15 percent of the federal total, up from 11 percent in the 2020 election cycle.

“Dark money” donations manipulate US elections furtively, and political polarization and social fragmentation make it difficult for the country to reach a democratic consensus. With 69 percent of Americans believing their democracy is at “risk of collapse” and 86 percent of American voters saying it faces “very serious threats,” there is a general public disillusionment of American-style democracy, the report noted.

Racism is on the rise and ethnic minorities suffer widespread discrimination. Hate crimes based on racial bias in the US increased dramatically between 2020 and 2022. The racist massacre at a Buffalo supermarket, with 10 African-Americans killed, has shocked the world. A total of 81 percent of Asian Americans say violence against Asian communities is surging. African Americans are 2.78 times more likely to be killed by police than whites. The sufferings caused by genocide and cultural assimilation taken by the US government against Indians and other aborigines in history still persist today, the report said.

The report also revealed that Life expectancy has plummeted, and deaths from drug abuse continue to climb.

According to a report released in August 2022 by the National Center for Health Statistics under the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, average life expectancy in the US dropped by 2.7 years to 76.1 years from 2019 to 2021, the lowest since 1996. Interest groups and politicians trade power for money, allowing drug and substance abuse to flourish. The number of Americans dying from drug and substance abuse has increased dramatically in recent years, to more than 100,000 per year. Substance abuse has become one of America’s most devastating public health crises, the report said.

Women have lost constitutional protections for abortion, and children’s living environment is worrying.

The US Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade has ended women’s right to abortion protected by the US Constitution for nearly 50 years, which lands a huge blow to women’s human rights and gender equality.

In 2022, more than 5,800 children under the age of 18 got injured or killed by shooting in the United States, and the number of school shootings amounted to 302, the highest since 1970. The child poverty rate in the United States increased from 12.1 percent in December 2021 to 16.6 percent in May 2022, with 3.3 million more children living in poverty. The United States had seen a nearly 70 percent increase in child labor violations since 2018, and registered a 26 percent increase in minors employed in hazardous occupations in fiscal year 2022, the report revealed.

Separately, US abuse of force and unilateral sanctions has created humanitarian disasters. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the US has carried out military operations in 85 countries in the name of “anti-terrorism,” which directly claimed at least 929,000 civilian lives and displaced 38 million people. The United States has imposed more unilateral sanctions than any other country in the world, and it still has sanctions in place against more than 20 countries, resulting in the inability of those targeted to provide basic food and medicine for their people, according to the report.

Immigration issue has become a tool of partisan fight, and immigration farces have been staged on a large scale, making immigrants face extreme xenophobia and cruel treatment. There were a record high of nearly 2.4 million migrant arrests at the nation’s border in 2022, and the death toll of immigrants at its southern border reached 856, the deadliest in a single year.

The report pointed out that the US, founded on colonialism, racist slavery and inequality in labor, possession and distribution, has further fallen into a quagmire of system failure, governance deficits, racial divide and social unrest in recent years under the interaction of its polarized economic distribution pattern, racial conflict dominated social pattern and capital interest groups controlled political pattern.

American politicians, serving the interests of oligarchs, have gradually lost their subjective will and objective ability to respond to the basic demands of ordinary people and defend the basic rights of ordinary citizens, and failed to solve their own structural problems of human rights. Instead, they wantonly use human rights as a weapon to attack other countries, creating confrontation, division and chaos in the international community, and have thus become a spoiler and obstructer of global human rights development, the report said.

Also, religious intolerance intensifies, the report noted. According to the Hate Crime Statistics for 2021 released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on December 15, 2022, a total of 1,005 religious hate crimes were reported in the US in 2021, of which 31.9 percent were anti-Semitic incidents, 21.3 percent were anti-Sikh incidents, and 9.5 percent were anti-Islamic incidents, 6.1 percent were anti-Catholic incidents and 6.5 percent were anti-Orthodox incidents.

  • Ma Ying Jeou Visits Mainland China

Ma Ying-jeou is correct. China is a civilization state and not nation state! 馬英九說的對。中國是文明國家,不是局限於列強用武力定下的國界 / Former Taiwan President Ma Ying Jeou Visits Mainland Amidst Kickoff of Annual Boao Forum for Asia. 台灣前總統馬英九在一年一度的博鰲亞洲論壇開幕之際訪問大陸 By MARIO CAVOLO Mar 28 2023

“People on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are Chinese people, and are both descendants of the Yan and Yellow Emperors,” Ma said, in comments provided by his office.

Ma used wording in Chinese meaning people of Chinese ethnicity, rather than referring to their nationality. Descendants of the Yan and Yellow Emperors is an expression referring to a common ancestor for Chinese people.

NANJING, China, March 28 (Reuters) – People on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are ethnically Chinese and share the same ancestor, former Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou said on Tuesday at the start of a historic visit to China that Taiwan’s ruling party has criticised.

Ma, in office from 2008-2016, is the first former or current Taiwanese president to visit China since the defeated Republic of China government fled to Taiwan in 1949 at the end of a civil war with the Communists.

Most Taiwanese no longer identify as Chinese, according to polls. (WHICH POLLS?)

Sun is officially still considered the father of the Republic of China, which remains Taiwan’s official name. Sun is also lauded by the Communist Party for the overthrow of the Qing dynasty, but the governments in Beijing and Taipei do not recognise each other.

Ma’s visit is part of outreach by Taiwan’s main opposition party, the Kuomintang (KMT), to China in hopes of reducing tensions. The KMT traditionally favours close relations with China, but strongly denies being pro-Beijing.

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen has repeatedly offered talks with China ( NO SHE DIDN’T) , but has been rejected as China considers her a separatist. She says only Taiwan’s people can decide their future.

Ma, a senior KMT member, said he hoped for peace.

“We sincerely hope that the two sides will work together to pursue peace, avoid war, and strive to revitalise China,” he said, again using an expression that refers to the Chinese people as an ethnicity rather than a nationality. “This is an unavoidable responsibility of Chinese people on both sides of the Strait, and we must work hard.”

Ma is not scheduled to meet with any senior Chinese leaders on this trip. He and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Singapore in 2015.

Meanwhile the annual Boao Forum for Asia kicks off today. Li Baodong, secretary-general of the BFA, said at the press conference on Tuesday that the BFA annual meeting is focused on addressing two questions: “What is happening in the world? What we should do about it?” He noted a long list of crises, including military conflict, food and energy security and climate change.

That is why “our theme this year is: An Uncertain World: Solidarity and Cooperation for Development amid Challenges,” Li said, “we are aiming to find certainty amid global uncertainty and promote development through cooperation.”

Over 2000 delegates from around 50 countries will be in attendance at this year’s event. A focus on peace rather than warmongering is at the foundation of discussions for this year’s event on the heels of China’s recent efforts to send a strong message of peace and diplomacy across the world.
