《世界上最勤奮的人已經老了》
美國《華爾街日報》文章說，世界上有群最勤奮的人，他們是中國的下鄉知識青、回鄉青年、恢復高考後的前幾屆學子、出國留學生、下海闖蕩的和進城務工的40、50、60後，短短幾十年創造了世界多個奇蹟，把一個幾乎最落後的中國變成經濟總量世界第二的強國。

文章最後還問：「中國還有這麼勤奮的人嗎？”」；的確，當年中國到處劈山開渠建造了8萬多座水庫，整個社會轟轟烈烈、熱氣騰騰、在搞社會主義大建設，硬是把一個廢墟城鄉建設成為了如今狀況…… 幾十年來，這群中國人「晴天搶幹，雨天巧幹，白天大幹，晚上加班幹」，拿著微薄的工資或僅僅能維持生計的口糧，他們勒緊褲腰帶義務建立起了工廠、水庫和平整了農田，還樹起了道德修養∽典範，也為各自的家庭撐起了一片藍天。

當歐州人每天工作5個小時，他們每天工作15個小時；當印度人躺在恆河邊等下輩子時，他們心中只有「只爭朝夕」；當美國人充當世界警察時，他們默唸「發展才是硬道理」。
迅速連通全中國的高速公路，
迅速鋪滿全中國的高速鐵路，
不斷擴大的飛機場，不斷增加的飛行航線，現代化的飛機場和火車站，成千上萬拔地而起的現代化大中小城市，看不完、玩不夠的自然和文化旅遊景點，數不清的現代化十足的購物城、購物中心，全世界最多的現代化工廠，多項領先世界先進水平的科研成果……。

這就是 國父孫中山先生所期待21世紀的中國！

中國人不知不覺，世界卻驚奇不已；太快了！太不可思議了？於是世界注意到了這群勇於築夢的人。

歷史會記住他們，人類會記住他們，以這個人口最多歷史悠久的國家的名義，以這個飽受苦難卻毅然崛起的民族的名義，我們要向這群人深深致敬！

很遺憾，這些40、50、60後早已累彎了腰。他們是世界上最苦的人，他們是最窮的人，他們是最講道德、最無助的人、天底下最善良的人、最無奈的人！他們現在老了，基本上是60歲以上的老人了……。

他們努力過了，他們奮鬥過了，
他們看到今天的中國，看到了今天的世界，他們值了！他們對得起自己，對得起崛起的中國！

世界上曾經最勤奮的人老了，請大家都要記住他們，讓他們去到全國各地看一看，享受一下自己的勞動果實；晚輩們應該尊重他們，為他們熱情服務，才能對得起奮鬥了一輩子的這批人！
