China’s township elections are still relatively open and competitive. In 2021, there were over 1.5 million candidates running for election to township governments. Of these candidates, over 1.1 million were elected. How the deputies are elected:

1. Direct elections, that is, voters directly elect deputies to the National People’s Congress. Deputies to the people’s congresses of cities not divided into districts, municipal districts, counties, autonomous counties, townships, ethnic townships, and towns are directly elected by voters.
2. Indirect election, that is, the people’s congress at the lower level elects deputies to the people’s congress at the next higher level.

人大代表選舉產生的方式：
1.直接選舉，即由選民直接選舉人大代表。不設區的市、市轄區、縣、自治縣、鄉、民族鄉、鎮的人民代表大會的代表，由選民直接選舉。
2.間接選舉，即由下一級人民代表大會選舉上一級人民代表大會代表。

How the world has changed? Growing up in the 60s in HK, parents told us don’t waste food as people were starving in China! Today it is US that people starving and became homeless! 世界發生了怎樣的變化? 當我在 60 年代在香港長大時, 父母告訴我們不要浪費食物, 因為中國的人民正在挨餓! 但今天人們挨餓, 無家可歸的是美國人!

所以这个漫画是反讽现在米果有很多穷人家孩子挨饿的现实：现在已经富起来的中国家庭教训他们挑食浪费食物的孩子，提醒在米果有很多挨饿的孩子们没有吃。
