Wang Yi introduced the eight major outcomes of the SCO Tianjin Summit 王毅介紹上合組織天津峰會8大成果……
On September 1, at the conclusion of the SCO Tianjin Summit, Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, met with Chinese and foreign journalists and answered questions at the summit press center with SCO Secretary-General Yermekbayev.
Wang Yi introduced the eight major outcomes of the summit:
1) The SCO’s 10-year development strategy was formulated. 👉This overarching strategy clearly states that member states will adhere to the “Shanghai Spirit,” uphold mutually beneficial cooperation and mutual achievement, and make greater contributions to building a multipolar world. This guiding document sets the tone and direction for the SCO’s development over the next 10 years.
2) It voiced a just voice in defense of the victory of the Second World War. 👉The people of the SCO member states once fought shoulder to shoulder against aggression and made significant contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. Remembering history and upholding peace have become the shared will of the SCO family. On the crucial occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory of World War II and the founding of the United Nations, the summit issued a special statement calling on the international community to learn from history, uphold a correct historical perspective on World War II, and safeguard the international system with the United Nations at its core. The statement also declared that the SCO will firmly stand on the right side of history and on the side of fairness and justice.
3) It demonstrated its impartial stance in support of the multilateral trading system. 👉 In the face of resurgent unilateral bullying, the summit issued a statement clearly supporting the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core, calling for the elimination of unilateral actions that violate WTO rules. It issued a common call for fairness over bullying and for a commitment to maintaining an open world economy.
4) The “Four Security Centers” were established. 👉 The leaders of the member states signed an agreement announcing the establishment of the SCO Integrated Center for Addressing Security Threats and Challenges, its Information Security Center, the Center for Combating Transnational Organized Crime, and the SCO Narcotics Control Center, witnessing the unveiling of the “Four Security Centers.” This is another major step forward in SCO security cooperation, which will comprehensively enhance the member states’ ability to respond to new threats and challenges and more effectively safeguard regional peace and tranquility.
5) A political decision was made to establish the SCO Development Bank. Over a decade ago, China proposed the initiative to establish a development bank, and this initiative has finally come to fruition. The SCO will initiate this process, adding a new platform for multilateral cooperation in the Eurasian region. This will effectively promote infrastructure development and economic and social development in SCO member states, a cause for celebration for both member states and the region.
6) Six practical cooperation platforms were established. President Xi Jinping announced that China will establish three China-SCO cooperation platforms on energy, green industries, and the digital economy, as well as three cooperation centers on scientific and technological innovation, higher education, and vocational and technical education. These platforms and centers aim to provide new opportunities for the SCO through China’s new development, are open to all SCO members, and inject new impetus into regional sustainable development.
7) Six high-quality development action plans were formulated. The summit issued five statements on promoting cooperation in energy sustainable development, green industries, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and scientific and technological innovation, in addition to the actively promoted China-SCO Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Economic and Trade Cooperation. These six major action plans represent a combined force for high-quality development through “new productivity + trade and investment + industrial chain cooperation,” providing a key lever for strengthening the SCO and empowering member states.
😎 Promoting new breakthroughs in SCO reform. The Tianjin Summit decided to merge SCO observer states and dialogue partners into a unified “SCO Partners.” This is a significant step in improving and strengthening the SCO’s operational mechanisms, promoting a more optimized organizational structure, closer cooperation, more efficient operations, and a clearer sense of belonging to the SCO family. The summit also decided to admit Laos as a Partner, bringing the number of SCO members to 27, further strengthening this like-minded community.

US re-industrialization a complete and total failure, absolutely no chance to succeed. 美國的再工業化徹底失敗,絕對沒有成功的機會
Industrialization is clearly a simple task, so why is reindustrialization in the United States so difficult?
Let me share a true story: A Chinese company’s sister company in the US was experiencing extremely poor performance, so they sent engineers from China to provide support.
I had previously read various online comments, suggesting that Americans had simply enjoyed their good life for too long and couldn’t even get into the factory to screw in screws. However, according to Xiaohongshu, they were able to work three jobs and work themselves to death, and even then, everyone assumed screwing in screws wasn’t that difficult. The only explanation was perhaps a difference in values.
In the end, after colleagues from this company went to provide support, the feedback they received was that during their daily follow-up meetings, they realized: 👉The people in the American factory were different from what we thought. They weren’t unwilling to work, but rather, they had lost their problem-solving skills.
To give a simple example, raw materials for injection molding cannot be mixed, so each injection molding machine has a mixing drum next to it. Many machines in the American factory were broken and inoperable, and some drums were broken, halting production because the good machines were being used with the broken drums. Our Chinese colleagues who were there to support us asked if we could just swap the good material bucket next to the broken machine and move it to the working machine.
Our American colleagues said, “But the raw materials can’t be mixed. There’s leftover material in each bucket.” Our former colleagues continued to suggest, “Can we just pool the leftover materials of the same type together?” They suddenly realized the solution and, with a flurry of activity, called the support engineers to the site. “Look, we’ve combined the like materials, freeing up two good buckets. We can continue production.” Seeing their expressions as if they were saviors, they raved and praised us profusely. “What a great job!”
We’ve heard from them that there are many similar issues. For example, if a mold has four cavities and one of the product dimensions is off, and they don’t know how to fix the mold, they block the feed port. This means only one of the four cavities is usable, completely eliminating production efficiency and equipment utilization.
The most dramatic incident was when a toilet was blocked and all production stopped. They felt that if they needed to use the restroom and couldn’t use it, it would affect production. They didn’t know how to fix it, so they just stopped. But they didn’t leave the factory… The colleagues sent to support them, from senior executives to production supervisors, and now production team leaders and mold repairers, were only able to handle urgent shipments. They were eager to work hard and could follow directions when given them, but when faced with problems, they didn’t know what to do.
So, I don’t really know what’s wrong with American industry. I can only truthfully record the reality of what I’ve heard. Perhaps this is a microcosm of the difficulties of industrialization in the United States!
I am trying to brainstorm with you on forming the above group.
People joining preferably have residency rights in HK such as born in HK, children of HK parents, lives in HK for 7 years got the residency rights, those obtained residency rights such as top scientists, artists, investors, or people married to all of the above.
The group will be formed using WeChat. If you are not on WeChat you are probably not Chinese or China friendly. I am sorry to be so blunt about it.
What can we discuss on the group WeChat?
