When I grew up in HK, there are foster homes like Po Leung Kuk for young children.
Between 1800 – 1960s, mainland Chinese due to poor economic conditions at home seeks foster homes in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and etc.
After WWII, Chinese also seeks foster homes in North America, New Zealand and Australia.
With the rise of China, today China’s living conditions is far superior than the foster homes once we seeking shelters namely the US, Canada, UK and EU. The hostility expressed by the above nations means we have overstayed our welcome!
You cannot blame your hosts because foster homes never meant to be a permanent solution.
Unfortunately many playing foolish and giving up their own pride and dignity to continue to overstay their welcome!
These people tends to either buried their heads in the sand pretending nothing happened or doing endless complaining and take no action for plan return to their motherland.
