My good friend and UH fellow alumni out of the blue called me from Vancouver Canada, he open his conversation by saying: “good to know you are returning to HK for good”. I was a little surprised he said that. He follow up to say he was told I am returning to HK in November. I told him I am going to HK for vacation this time. He followed up to say he had dinner with 5 other Chinese couples last night, age 60-72. They are all in the process of liquidating their real estates and moving to Zhongshan to retire within the next 2-4 months. It is huge decision for them after spending last 40-50 years in Canada. Once left, they have no plan to return to Canada. My friend expect his real estates sales will by completed by the end of January next year before also leaving Canada for good. I asked what about their children and grandchildren. They said all the smart one already left and the not so smart ones will stay. Canada is collapsing faster than US. Their children and grandchildren need to take care of themselves.
