Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act: A Ruse & A Fraud 維吾爾族強迫勞動保護法：詭計與欺詐 by MARIO CAVOLO JUN 4 2024
Accusations of Uyghur force labor by the US government and anyone else are a pathetic political joke and every lawmaker in Washington knows it. It’s a fake ruse for a fake law to contain China, period. Virtually every foreign brand in Xinjiang did unannounced labor audits and FOUND NOTHING.
This is why the real name for the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act would properly be described as governance by lies. Let’s be clear friends, It is definitely a protection act, but its not there to protect Uyghurs from forced labor, its to protect American economy from letting businesses in Xinjiang grow and thrive and gain market share in their competitive industries which includes cotton, solar, lithium batters, textiles, electronics and more. That’s our topic for this episode of counterpoint china.
The real motivation here is two fold: 1. to simply stop the Chinese company competition and 2. To make anyone interested in doing business with those Chinese companies or investing in Xinjiang to feel afraid to do so and to stay away. That’s the bottom line, stay away from Xinjiang. And these goals are being met in the most unethical noncompetitive way possible, governance by lies, its being done by passing fake laws based on fake completely debunked accusations of Uyghur forced labor in Xinjiang.
Remember I do not make these videos to share my opinion. I am here to inform you that Skechers, Adidas, Nike, Apple, Tesla, John Deere and countless other companies….now read my lips friends…have never found forced labor violations. And if they did find forced labor violations, guess who would fine them?…the Chinese govt.
What the United States has done away with here is the presumption of innocence and replaced with the presumption of guilt. Its not designed to protect anyone, its designed to STOP business by making it too difficult to do business with those companies in that region.
Let’s take an example we can explain to any 12 year old young student, Living here in China, I love imported Italian food. If I could buy imported Italian tomatoes from a company in Naples or a from a company in Bologna, but the company in Bologna required me to prove that my employees aren’t Uyghur forced labor slave by submitting 30 pages of documentation to be reviewed, I’m not going to do that, so Bologna loses the business. The businessmen in Bologna certainly don’t like it but it’s the govt’s new law so they’ll go out of business.
And that’s exactly what the U.S. is causing. They’re saying they’re interested in protecting Uyghurs but what they’re actually doing is ruining their lives, causing the Uyghur family bread winners just working to provide for their families to lose their jobs! You might recall over two years ago I personally researched and produced one of the first short documentaries about the Uyghurs in Xinjiang to debunk this nonsense.
As usual, and as is the case in so many other areas, there’s a reason trust and satisfaction in what the US. Govt says and does is at an all time low. Besides endlessly fomenting and provoking wars all around the world like their now doing in Ukraine and Gaza, they endless engage in governance by lying, endless political propaganda, it’s a malevolent propaganda circus at best. They are not governing for the American people or anyone else. They’re not governing for democracy or freedom or anyone’s human rights including Uyghur Muslims. They’re governing for the interests of the banks and oligarchs, they’re governing for power & control.
Princeton University’s study on governance in America concluded all too easily the interests of the people are virtually ignored as the politicians legislate and pass new laws like this Uyghur Force Labor Protection Act which is a pile of legislative garbage and fraud. Don’t be fooled.
