He [Chomsky] explains how the US is 1) “abandoning the One-China policy” that has “held the peace in the region for 50 years”, 2) increasingly “encircling China with a ring of sentinel states armed with advanced precision weapons aimed at China” and 3) waging “a war to prevent China from developing”, all the while gaslighting the world into believing it’s China that’s changing the status quo
“You need to distinguish between propaganda…I am presenting the world as it is, not as it is presented by US & British propaganda”. “US is trying to stop China’s investment and development programs [around the world]”

Chomsky starts off with the Doomsday clock, and how US top strategists are planning for nuclear war. He reiterates that nuclear war is inconceivable, utter madness, but that is what the US leadership is determined to initiate. He them goes over the 1-China policy, and the need to prevent provocative (US) actions. He bats down the allegation that China is/might be the aggressor, and emphasizes that there is no indication China is preparing to attack, and berates the host for regurgitating US propaganda.
After this exchange, the host, having failed, diverts to “free speech”, philosophy (“how do infinite minds communicate with finite means”), and personal views.
