Debunk fake news propaganda by US to demonize Chinese & China on COVID19 揭穿美國在 COVID19 上妖魔化中國人和中國的假新聞宣傳: The irritation is high at virologist Marion Koopmans. Again there is a lot of fuss about the origin of the corona virus.
Doesn’t it come from a Chinese lab? “This has been said so many times, but always without evidence. I say: show it once. Then we can make a scientific assessment,” said a frustrated Koopmans in Sven Op 1.

US used to same tactics killing Japan’s tech sectors in the 1980s to destroy China failing miserably. China on track to dominate development of critical future technologies, 美國曾在 1980 年代用同樣的策略殺死日本的科技以摧毀中國,但慘遭失敗。中國有望主導未來關鍵技術的發展 ASPI report says By foreign affairs reporter Stephen Dziedzic Feb 23 2023
A ground-breaking new report has warned Western governments that China is in a prime position to dominate critical future technologies in a vast array of fields after establishing a “sometimes stunning” lead in research and development.
Key points:
*The ASPI report found China is beating the US in 37 of 44 technologies *They included artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing *The think tank says China is particularly dominant in research for the defence, security and space sectors
The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) “critical tech tracker” found China is beating the United States in 37 of 44 technologies which are likely to propel innovation, growth and military power in coming decades, including artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, and quantum technology.
The report says the US is the leading innovator in only seven technologies — including quantum computing and vaccines — and ranks second to China in most other categories.
While a “second tier” of countries — including India, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Germany and Australia — have also developed advanced research capabilities, they still lag far behind the two great powers.
ASPI’s Jamie Gaida, who co-authored the report, said while China’s research edge did not translate into technological superiority right now, Beijing had built the foundations to position itself as the world’s leading science and technology power.
The report found China was generating just under half of the top research papers into advanced aircraft engines and hypersonics.
“We were pretty surprised by how dramatic the lead is in some of these technologies,” Dr Gaida told the ABC.
“In some of these technologies we are seeing China is publishing approximately 65 per cent of the world’s top research within that technology area.
“It’s striking. It’s really profound.
“Current research doesn’t directly translate to current defence capability or manufacturing capability, but surely if you want to be in the best position to be in the lead in say five years’ time — well, of course you want to be in the forefront of innovation and breakthrough research.”
China attracts top level scientists, report finds
The report shows China is particularly dominant when it comes to research for the defence, security and space sectors, often producing more than five times as much high-impact research as its closest competitor — which is almost always the US.
For example, China generated just under half of the top research papers into advanced aircraft engines and hypersonics, and hosts most of the institutions leading development of the technology.
US microchip ban limits China’s technical advances
By tightening controls on China’s developing advanced microchip industry, the US might be pushing allies to work against its interests as both countries spend vast amounts of money chasing technological supremacy.
Last year, China surprised US intelligence agencies when it tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile which circled the globe, demonstrating advanced capabilities in the technology.
Chinese institutions also dominate research into drones, autonomous systems, advanced optical systems, artificial technology and machine learning.
Dr Gaida stressed that the tech tracker did not capture classified research conducted by governments in private, or research conducted behind closed doors by private companies.
The Biden Administration has also moved to ramp up expenditure in advanced manufacturing, and last year passed the CHIPS act which will plunge more than $US200 billion ($296 billion) into trying to ensure the United States regains its lead in manufacturing semiconductor chips.
How China became a scientific powerhouse Australia and the United States have taken tough measures to counter technology theft and economic espionage from China. But prominent scientists are warning some of the measures are “killing the sector”, and Beijing is taking advantage of it.
But the report warns that China’s clear lead in public research provides evidence that Beijing could establish a “stranglehold” on global supply chains for critical technologies in the future, handing it powerful leverage and a clear technical edge.
It also says China’s government has successfully attracted top scientists specialising in critical technologies, and that Australia and its allies need to rapidly scale up research and development in order to catch up.
“Now is the time to move, essentially, and we don’t shy away from the fact this will be expensive,” Dr Gaida told the ABC.
“This will require a very significant step up in our research and development capability.”
Video: The Racist War On Asians & National Minorities: Texas SB147 with SF Superior Court Judge Lillian Sing & CAA Vincent Tan
In an escalating racist xenophobic campaign against Asians and Asian Americans, a bill in Texas SB 147 prevents Chinese, Iranian, North Koreans and Russians nationals from purchasing homes Ju and land.
Retired judge Lillian Sing with the Comfort Women Justice Coalition and Vincent Pan of Chinese For Affirmative Action talk about what this bill would do and how this is part of the escalation of attacks on Asians and Asian Americans. They also discuss the growing war hysteria being whipped up by both political parties against Chinese, Russia, North Korea and Iran and what this means to people from these countries and other Asians and Asian Americans.

On Monday, March 6, from 10:30-11:30 on Zoom, Dr Audrye Wong will present a talk entitled “Subversion and Seduction: China’s Economic Statecraft.” See the attached flyer for more details.
Dr Audrye Wong is Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Southern California. Her research examines how China uses non-military means, including economic and informational tools, to gain geopolitical influence.
In this talk, Dr Wong asks, when and how do economic capabilities translate into actual geopolitical influence? Drawing on evidence from field interviews, case studies, and a survey experiment, she shows that although economic statecraft has the potential to change the nature of great power competition and allow rising powers such as China to make strategic gains without turning to military conflict, it has also incited backlash, pointing to a bumpy road ahead for China’s efforts to expand global influence.
Please spread the world! We hope you, your colleagues and/or students can attend!

Visiting That Taiwan Topic AGAIN? Yea, What’s the Latest Fuss About…? 再次訪問台灣話題?是的,最近有什麼大驚小怪的……? By MARIO CAVOLO Mar 1 2023
Let’s have you start by reading a couple of key items, and I do mean key…here’s a direct quote by the United States government contained in the Shanghai Communique of 1972…
“The United States acknowledges that all Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Straits maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. The United States Government does not challenge that position.”
And six years later in 1978, the Joint Communique Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the USA and PRC…what does that one say?
“The United States of America recognizes the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China. The Government of the United States of America acknowledges the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China.”
Now let’s check the dictionary
recognizes – transitive verb. : to recognize the rights, authority, or status of. They acknowledged him as their leader. : to disclose knowledge of or agreement with. She readily acknowledged her mistake.
acknowledge. acquiesce. admit. allow. be of the same mind
acknowledge: to admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of:
rec·og·nize tr.v. rec·og·nized, rec·og·niz·ing, rec·og·niz·es 1. To know to be something that has been perceived before: recognize a face.2. To know or identify from past experience or knowledge: recognize hostility.3. To perceive or show acceptance of the validity or reality of:
How we doin’ so far? Good, clear, unambiguous in every possible way, from every possible angle, no? Feel free to comment below with your added thoughts…
Sop then you can understand why Mao Ning, China’s ministry spokesperson felt the need to school Secretary of State Blinken on his recent remarks which were called “extremely irresponsible and ridiculous”, urging Blinked to seriously heed the lesson of history on the issue.
Are you unclear about what the written, signed agreements mean?
On the Taiwan question, the political commitment made by the US to China was clear and in writing, Mao said. For some time, the US has deliberately ignored and distorted historical facts, sent false signals on the Taiwan question, greatly relaxed restrictions on official exchanges between the US and Taiwan, strengthened military ties with the island, and defended the position of “Ukraine today, Taiwan tomorrow,” Mao Ning noted.
What’s changed on the Taiwan issue is China’s position since the Pelosi visit. As I said back then in this early August post The New Taiwan Paradigm , China has taken control of the Taiwan situation and Washington knows it. But the US knows that the average American doesn’t understand the nuances and reality of the situation so they keep feeding them with headline brinksmanship to keep them confused.
Let me make clear what I believe deep in my bones, that when China says it will NEVER allow external forces to interfere in China’s internal affairs, they mean it. If the US does indeed want to start war over that issues, then frankly, there is nothing, absolutely nothing anyone on planet earth can do about it. The US knows exactly where that line is and that they can NOT under any circumstances cross it. Will they? Who the hell knows. Considering all the other insane warmongering and other hegemonic decisions they’ve made over the past seven decades, anything is possible.
And that’s the problem, folks. Nobody is wondering/worried about what China might do. Every country knows with 100% confidence China is for development and for peace, in peace, 100% gddamn motherfcking unequivocal no attacks, no weapons, no war, no sanctions, no overthrowing & installing puppet govts, no military covert operations PEACE. That’s how China rolls and every country on earth knows it.
We also know how the US rolls, they won’t hesitate to kill, attack, destroy, decimate at will. Its the American way especially since they kicked off their war party on the Korean Peninsula in 1950 and that’s what has the entire planet worrying their asses off.
Now they’re blustering on about adding more troops on Taiwan and on Guam and on and on with their endless imperialist warmongering insanity.
I have said all along, however, they will not instigate an actual war with China over Taiwan. It sure as hell looks more and more like they will.
