I bring you sad news that my good friend Attorney Edward Liu in SF has passed away on Monday February 20 2023
Message from Audrey, wife of Edward Liu: 我以為Eddie的情況會慢慢好轉的,萬萬想不到他離開得如此倉促和突然。Edward突然的辭世對我和女兒是莫大的打擊和傷心。但願上天賜我力量支撐下去。非常感謝您們的問候!您們的關心問候使我心靈得安慰,感謝萬分! 請代我感謝各位朋友的問候! (The following use Google Translate) I thought Eddie’s situation would gradually improve, but I never expected him to leave so hastily and suddenly. The sudden death of Edward was a great shock and heartbreak to my daughter and me. May God give me the strength to carry on. Thank you very much for your greetings! Your concern and greetings comfort my soul, thank you very much! Please thank all friends for your greetings on my behalf! https://johnsonwkchoi.com/2023/02/28/message-from-audrey-wife-of-edward-liu/

My sympathies to his family. I have always enjoyed his road trip travels and his geopolitics posts. RIP Ed.

Wow. This comes as a shock. Only recently Ed was traveling the world, seeing the sights, and sampling the local cuisines.
I will never forget Ed’s remarkable, acerbic neologisms that rightly mocked self-hating Chinese: “honorary whitehood” “yellow monkeys” and others that slip my mind.
He was a man of razor sharp intellect to be reckoned with.
He will be missed.

Ed was one of the first in the group. A great compatriot, wolf warrior, sharp mind.
RIP Ed

Ed’s passing comes as a shock to me. I have known Ed for at least 30 years and I always admired how he saw the powers that be , screw over the little people and he never held back his feelings. Before and during the pandemic, I knew Ed was active, I think he was checking off his bucket list of places to go and people to see. His voice will be missed.

Although I have not seen Ed since we both migrated to the United States from Manila over 50 years ago, I am glad we connected through Facebook. I enjoyed reading his views in world politics, his travel adventures and his love of cuisines. He will be sorely missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time.
Rest In Eternal Peace, Ed.
