中國科幻電影 #流浪地球 叫好叫座，續集《流浪地球2》於本月初在港上映，反應熱烈。#香港青年聯會 今日舉行青年分享會，穎欣很高興獲邀出席，有機會向青年們分享對該電影的觀後感。穎欣一直關注跟進青年、文化藝術議題，很高興這套電影能港上映，之後亦都會觀看另一套電影《滿江紅》。穎欣認為《流浪地球2》顯示了國家的文化自信，劇本十分優秀，做到創新而不離地，而且情感兼備。同時，透過電影也展示出我國在電影科技、創科工業發展已達國際頂尖高水平。現今電影的特效場面，大多都是國產，相信電影中的特效場面全面國產化指日可待。

國家繁榮穩定是靠上一代人努力，電影中又反映上一代人願意為下一代人犧牲。穎欣希望青年人透過由中國人拍的科幻電影，能從不同視角去了解國家科技發展的進步，並鼓勵青年人要有擔當精神，貢獻國家。正如電影劇情帶出的信念，即使處於地球毀滅的危機前，只要團結力量、敢於擔當，便能共同應對危機，展現出中國人保家衛國堅持無私的民族精神，甚至超越民族國家的人類共同利益，達至共贏的理念。

穎欣又認為，好的電影題材能有助講好中國故事，展示真實、立體、全面的中國。創科、航天是中國發展的大趨勢，要持續發展，教育和人才是關鍵所在。若要實現建設香港成為國際創新科技中心的願景，穎欣期望政府能做好規劃，為青年人構建更理想的發展空間，著重培育本地人才，而國家載人航天工程在港澳地區選拔載荷專家就是一個很好的例子，此計劃讓更多有潛力、有抱負的青年人看到機會、看到希望。

穎欣寄語青年要努力貢獻國家，不負上一代，不負青春，度過精彩人生。

That is a huge gap between reality and fantasy. More importantly, the 1% elites that control the US Gov’t also don’t think we are one of them. What have we done wrong? How could we done right besides changing our skin color? That is what we need to think deep and hard. Toxic chemical leak in Ohio triggers safety concern among Chinese pet owners over American food brands like Orijen, Acana by Zhang Han Feb 14 2023

Chinese pet owners have expressed concerns over pet food safety of American brands, following the serious Ohio chemical leak, as many of their frequently consume brands, such as Orijen and Acana, are headquartered in the neighboring state of Kentucky.

Another brand among those of highest concern is Blue Buffalo, whose headquarters is located in Indiana, west to Ohio.

A “map of American pet food brands” has been reposted frequently on China’s Twitter-like Weibo, with more brands like RAWZ, Fromm, Instinct, Stella&Chewy’s and Nutro marked in accordance with their headquarters’ locations on a US map.

As the contamination could take weeks or potentially months to affect the locally sourced ingredients and the manufacturing process, some Chinese pet owners have already begun to stockpile supplies.

A Beijing-based cat owner, who went by the name Fanfan, told the Global Times on Wednesday that she just ordered three 5.4-kilogram bags of dry food in case the contamination would impact food safety in the future.

“I have read all sorts of media reports, some said it’s ‘Chernobyl 2.0’ while others claimed local environment is within normal scope…But I don’t want to take the risk,” Fanfan said.

Fanfan is accustomed to feeding her cat Orijen, but she has decided to do some research on European brands. Some also started to consider domestic Chinese brands.

The Global Times tried to contact Orijen and Acana, but they failed to respond as of time of press.

According to a report released by e-commerce giant Tmall early in January 2023, China’s consumption of imported pet food increased by 25 percent annually from 2016-21.

The pet economy volume in 2022 was estimated to top 494 billion yuan ($67.4 billion) and more than half of that was pet food.

Of more than 300 foreign companies that are permitted to export pet food to China, 80 are from the US, customs data shows.

The aftermath of an Ohio train derailment incident on February 3, which resulted in toxic chemicals being released into the environment, has left the local community reeling.

Fifty of the 150 cars veered off the tracks after the derailment with Vinyl chloride slowly released into the air from five of those cars before crews ignited the leak to extinguish the highly flammable, toxic chemicals “in a controlled environment.”

Local residents were first ordered to leave, but allowed to return on February 8 after authorities claimed real-time air and water monitoring did not find any contaminant levels above screening limits.

However, community fears and concerns have not been dispelled. Many residents living near the affected area took to social media to report unusual and concerning symptoms presenting in the wake of the incident.

The 15 years plan will allow those don’t want to be Chinese and don’t like to be part of China plenty time to leave including foreign capitals just like those in HK. US, UK, EU and the 5 eyes anti-China alliance (US Canada UK Australia New Zealand) could open the door for them especially those with money to live in the racist AngloSaxon countries and suffer.

The argument that US will accelerate weaponizing Taiwan like US is doing to Ukraine expected but need not worry. Taiwan is not Ukraine and only miles from Chinese mainland.

Why the 10-15 years plan?

The proxy war against Russia in Ukraine has weakened NATO, EU and US. The biggest damage is to EU being taken to the cleaner by the Americans everyday. They are waking up fast will not support US proxy war against China in Taiwan.

The One Belt One Road by land and by seas will be in place rendered US sea blockade against China ineffective with the backing of Russia, Iran and the Middle East nations, Global South and etc.

Today, US aircraft carriers task force is sitting duck within 2,000 miles of China coast. China weaponry is in par with US in every category today expect to overtake US by miles in the next 10-15 years.

Today, more than 169 nations or 7 billions of world population is in China’s camp. Only 1 billion population mainly from EU, US and the 5 eyes anti-China alliance, mostly AngloSaxon are backing the Americans. After the Russia-Ukraine war, most EU nations especially Germany and France will not want to remain a vassal state of US.

Asia Times: Nord Stream explosions hard to cover up – Award-winning journalist Seymour Hersh has exposed the Biden administration’s role in sabotaging the pipelines By GEORGE KOO FEB 15, 2023

The report “How America Took Out the Nord Stream Pipeline” by Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Seymour Hersh states beyond any reasonable doubt that US President Joe Biden ordered the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.

Thus if it wasn’t clear before, it is emphatically clear now that the US will impose its proprietary version of “rules-based international order” by any means possible including committing a crime against humanity.

The Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines are jointly owned by the Russian energy corporation Gazprom and four European energy companies. Nord Stream 1 had been providing low-cost natural gas from Russia to Germany, which redistributed some of it to other parts of Europe. Nord Stream 2 was in the process of coming on stream and would have doubled the supply to Europe.

The explosions that took place on September 26, 2022, stopped the flow of Russian gas, and left hundreds of millions of Europeans facing the prospects of a cold winter.

The economic consequences of the Nord Stream sabotage were the quadrupling of energy costs and triggering rampant inflation in Europe the likes of which hadn’t been seen for decades.

President Biden wanted to make sure that Germany would strongly support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Blowing up the pipelines would ensure that Russia could no longer supply cheap energy to Europe and Germany wouldn’t have natural gas from Russia as a source of distraction from its support for Ukraine.

Biden had absolutely no justification for destroying property that did not belong to the US. Doing so would be naked aggression, an act of war, devoid of concern that the people and economies of friendly allies would suffer. He wouldn’t care that to achieve his sense of security for the US required committing a war crime.

Heretofore, we Americans have been telling the world that the United States of America is the citadel on top of the hill, a shining beacon of integrity and an example of what a freedom-loving democracy should be. Other nations are supposed to admire what we stand for and aspire to be just like us.

Shining beacon no more

Now, the world sees that Fortress America is corrupt, dishonest and shameless. The US suppresses other countries by force, intimidation or sanctions or a mixture of the above. Other nations comply with our demands not because they admire us but because they fear us.

If the US did indeed destroy the pipelines as Hersh reports, some in the inner circle of the Biden administration might try to defend its action by claiming that it was a reprisal for Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. In fact, according to Hersh, planning to blow up the pipelines was under way months before the Russian invasion began.

He further explained that the government of Norway was enlisted to help with the execution of the sabotage. One of the reasons for recruiting Norway was that it knew the shallow waters of the Baltic Sea better than anyone.

“On September 26, 2022, a Norwegian Navy P8 surveillance plane made a seemingly routine flight and dropped a sonar buoy,” Hersh reports. “The signal spread underwater, initially to Nord Stream 2 and then on to Nord Stream 1. A few hours later, the high-powered C4 explosives were triggered and three of the four pipelines were put out of commission.”

Norway’s participation is full of irony. The annual winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is selected by a committee appointed by the Norwegian parliament. One year, they rushed to give Peace Prize to incoming American president Barack Obama even before he assumed office.

History will credit Obama as the president who first popularized the use of drones as deadly killing machines, cold-blooded and indiscriminate. They were deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. In hindsight, these were not exactly the kind of credentials consistent with those of a Peace Prize laureate.

In a podcast interview subsequent to his exposé of the Nord Stream explosion, Hersh said that putting the story together was not difficult. Any reasonably competent investigative reporter could have followed the trail of telltale clues leading directly to the White House.

For months before the invasion of Ukraine and the explosion of the pipelines, President Biden and his foreign-policy team – national security adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Tony Blinken, and Victoria Nuland, the undersecretary of state for policy – had been vocal and consistent in their hostility to the two pipelines.

Biden gave the secret away

Biden and Nuland even publicly hinted to the media that the pipelines would “go away.” At the press briefing that followed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’ visit to Washington in February last year, Biden said, “If Russia invades … there will no longer be a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”

Undersecretary Nuland also said at a State Department briefing, lightly covered by the media, “I want to be very clear to you today. If Russia invades Ukraine, one way or another Nord Stream 2 will not move forward.”

The reason the mainstream media did not bother to ask the obvious question as to who blew up the pipelines and why was either being lazy and uninquisitive or because they knew the answer and did not want to embarrass the Biden White House.

Even after the publication of Hersh’s report, mainstream media outlets such as The Washington Post and The New York Times did not even bother to contact him and interview him. By deliberately ignoring this story, they are not living up to their obligation as members of the fourth estate and protecting their integrity. In other words, they have betrayed public trust and sold out to the White House.

The US has always acted above the laws of other sovereign nations, even ignoring the laws of the United Nations. With compliant and docile media, the Biden team can go wild and run roughshod over anyone without a tinge of concern.

The worldwide disrespect for the US will grow. In time, The US will find itself alone and friendless in a unipolar world of its own making.
